Kristen Scarlett is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor with advanced training in cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. She is certified in Mind-Body Medicine by the Center of Mind-Body Medicine and is EMDR Level 1 trained.
With over 20 years of experience, Kristen has worked extensively in behavioral health across integrative and primary healthcare settings, including One Medical and Galileo. She has also co-founded Octave, a modern therapy practice in New York and San Francisco, and successfully built a private practice. Her expertise extends to collaborating with organizations to integrate behavioral health services into care models, ensuring a holistic approach to patient wellness.
Kristen specializes in treating conditions such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, OCD, and PTSD. She has also taught cognitive behavioral therapy at NYU Langone as part of the didactics program for psychiatry residents, sharing her knowledge with the next generation of mental health professionals.
In addition to her clinical work, Kristen contributes to various publications and develops workshops on topics that promote balance, calm, and stability. Her approach blends wellness practices with evidence-based behavioral therapies to empower individuals in achieving their mental health goals.
